Technique Tuesday Crew Call

Several months ago I discovered Mynettes blog and entered one of  her challenge's.   One of the things that I really liked about her challenges is the fact that in order to participate I had to learn a new technique!  Her instructions are always well written and include lots of photos, making it fun and easy to learn something new.    I am answering the crew call that Mynette issued at the Technique Tuesday Blog...go here to check out her call : http://mynnettestechniquetuesday.blogspot.com/?m=0

I chose to try her very first technique entitled  "Stamped Punch Window".  It's a simple technique that produces a really outstanding result.  I chose to put a twist on it by stamping a whole image first, coloring it with my new Copic Markers ( which I got a STEAL on from  EBay !).  I then used a Spellbinders die to cut out my shape and dry embossed the whole stamped card front with a Spellbinders Embossing folder.  I added various colored rhinestones and added pop- dots to the backside.  I glued down the die cut onto hot pink cardstock and then placed the whited stamped/embossed negative image centered on top.

Here is a close-up of the details.

I really love this technique !  So much that I created one more variation of it!

This Kraft tag began with using a stencil and my Copics.  I colored in the leopard stencil with two shades of Copic turquoise ink and then used a Sizzix die and cut out a heart.  On a deep teal sheet of  Cardstock I heat embossed an A and then added dimensional's underneath the stenciled paper.  I set that on top and then added a piece of Rhinestone mesh below.  Believe it or not the rhinestone piece came off of a fancy pair if flip flops that fell apart!  Sometimes pack-ratting stuff does pays off!!!  A black satin bow on top covering the tags' hole and voila,  a fun gift tag to add to a card front or hang from a gift, wine bottle, jewelry box nob, the possibilities are many!

Thanks for stopping by for a look!

  1. Wow Adrienne! I love both cards, but the first one knocked my socks off! I love the detailed stamp you used and the beautiful colors. The paisley embossing folder was the perfect finishing touch! Thank you for joining the DT call at Technique Tuesday. Best of luck!
